Heidegger's Catalog

I'll definately think twice before beginning a new catalog scanning process. The process of opening, page turning and scanning a catalog this old inevitably causes some damage to catalog itself. My original plan was to scan a dozen or so of most interesting pages. But when I saw how many fractured pages turned into torn pages, I felt compelled to scan it all, so at least the information would be saved. This project is going on 6 hours long and no where near finished. And even then I don't even know if anybody will ever look at all of this stuff. Here it is. It is interesting to see how much of fishing technology was already invented eighty years ago, in 1927. There are approximately 156 pages in this catalog. I've already scanned the whole thing, but it will be a while before I put it all on the web. I'll have to think of a better way to present that many pages in one place. I'll have to start (at the very least) by making the thumbnail links smaller. Or perhaps to get rid of them altogether.
