| The Beavertail is a fly fishing boat.

| It has a 48" bottom, so you don't need to

| do any side-scarfing (as you do for the Honky Dory's
|
| 56" bottom).

| The Beavertail's bottom panel is nearly symetrical either side
|
| of the middle, so it has plenty of tail bouyancy to hold
|
| up a rear seated fisherman.
|
|
| The Beavertail plans include details for building a rear
|
| knee brace, a roped rower's seat (or a simpler hardtop seat)
|
| plus a custom front end that acts as fly line catcher and stripping
|
| basket, as well as a place to stand.
|
|
| This is one of the few driftboats ever made that trims
|
| properly with a rear-standing fisherman.
