| | Here is the shot I was talking about. You know, My housemate and I built the boat during my first year as a grad student here. We had a really small garage, money was/is tight and I think the only power tools we had were a cordless drill and reciprocating (jigsaw) saw. Somehow we finished the boat by steelhead season. Despite my love for the boat, I realize it needs attention with regard to the interior and the finish work. The good thing is I guess I can redo seats, boxes, etc. untill I get it how I like it. You comments about using a cooler as a seat are right on. I''ve made a small rowes seat that slides between boxes for short trips, but plan on using a cooler for the overnighters. I like the Idea of using one up front also. That way you get some weight up front and the boat balances better. Thanks for the tips about using/making cooler-mounting cleats. Upcomming projects will be to finish the drystorage boxes amidships (I'm in oceanography, cant help but using that jargon). I want to completly redo the rails/(gunwales?) at somepoint also. I think I like having a project as much as fishing!
