| | After a year and a half working countless hours in my garage, many, many sanding disks, numerous posts on this forum and a 3/16" drill bit through my foot, I finally completed (well at least 95% complete, it will never be 100% finished) my 1st woodworking project.

| | I used Sandy's Honky Dory plans to build the hull. I wasn't settled on the interior layout and finaly decided to attempt to recreate the interior on Jason's Guide model boats. Most of the bronze hardware, hinges, etc was purchased through through Jason's site. I used Interlux Toplac for the exterior paint and Interlux Schooner varnsih for the interior. Duraback is on the inside bottom, epoxy/graphite on exterior bottom. I may go the Line-x route after the season depending on wear.

| | The seats and steam bent knee brace are white oak, the gunnels and trim are Ash and mahogany was used for the breasthook and parts of the oarlock blocks and knee brace horns. These parts are all finished Dailey's SeaFin Teak oil.

| | The funny thing about this project was that my goal was to build something that I could enjoy with my family while spending more time fly-fishing. However, as I got into the project I found a new passion in woodworking. The boat hasn't seen water yet and I'm already looking ahead to new projects.
