It's hard to see what's going on from this photo copy.
Patents are public domain information, so I assume
the US Patent office still has this patent on file. But
getting a high quality scan of the diagrams might be tough.
Figure 9 in the diagram (above) attempts to show the woven hackle
details. I'll get the relevant portions of the patent language transcribed
eventually.
