| It does seem there was some controversy about who the
|
| original inventor was: Pott or Wombacher. But not much
|
| controversy. Franz B. Pott, a Missoula barber and wig maker,
|
| started selling his woven hair Pott flies sometime during
|
| the early 1920s (*Montana Trout Flies by George Grant).
|
|
|
| The Sandy Mite was--without question--the best and most
|
| successful of the Pott flies. It clearly had the best name.
