| Fred is a eminently practical guy who doesn't
| get taken in by fancy fly fishing theories and oddball patterns.
| Fred catches more fish than anyone else around here (in Bozeman
| that's quite a claim) by relying on fishing skills: knowing where
| the fish are and how to present the fly.
| So I asked Fred (this morning, tuesday, 1/16/2007) where he used
| these big drakes. "On the Smith," Fred said. During the drake
| hatches there," he said, "smaller dry flies just don't work as
| well."
