| Closeup images of these new George Grant nymphs
| will probably appear sometime soon. These are Mike
| Wilkerson's flies. So thank you Mike. These are great flies.
| Seeing ten George Grant flies side-by-side like this makes
| them all look pretty much the same. Which, in some respects,
| they are. There is some variation in the hackle fiber coloring
| here, but the main difference is in the body graphics. George
| attained the semi-translucent effect he wanted by wrapping
| each cigar-shaped body with flat monofilament.
| In daylight the monofilament over-wrapping has a tendancy to make all these
| flies look alike. But when you immerse them in water (don't worry Mike,
| I did this to my George Grant flies, not yours), the differences in the body
| coloring stands out more prominently. These are spectacular flies.
| I think the Sandy Brown Featherback (like Franz Pott's Sandy Mite)
| is clearly the best of the lot.
