The cicadas start hatching on New Zealand's south island in early summer
and never really stop, from what I heard (I was only there
once, for three weeks in February...their summer).
The big fish there don't often say no, and when they do say no
they'll often still often take the nymph that's trailing off the back
end of the cicada...if you fish it that way.
