  Richard is dry fly purist at heart, and a traditionalist at that. Richard likes flies tied with feathers fur and thread, and he is particularly fond of his father's patterns, like the Improved Sofa Pillow Salmon fly. Richard and his family have been guiding and tying flies in Gardiner Montana for long long time.

Richard gave me a short paragraph description for each of these flies. I'll get the captions attached soon. A lot of these flies were originally designed by Richard's father Claude. I'll see if I can coax a short history from Richard too, about the shop and his family. In the mean time, this is what I got online tonight.
