| Tie on a tail or two. The tail helps to

| catch the currents, which helps make the fly move.

| Wind on a long olive-dyed grizzley saddle. Tie in by
|
| the tip. Pull out thread until the bobbin tip is
|
| just below the butt of the hackle feather.
|
|
|
| Hold both the thread and the hackle butt together.
|
| Wind both forward. Add some more hackle and wind
|
| up to the front. Try to get some bushy, marabou-like
|
| hackle fibers to adorn the front end of the fly.
