Caddis Chip 2
Before you wind the deer hair clump onto the shank,
loop the thread around the deer hair twice--BEFORE winding
the thread over the shank. This helps to pull the hair together
into a tight clump on top of the hook, rather than flattening out
and wrapping around the shank.
(you should have seen the size of the brown trout that bit my thumb)
