I don't have written instructions or a tying sequence for
this one yet. It's a good fly. The brown trout on the lower
Madison bang this fly with a vengence, especially in early fall.
My buddy Patrick, who lives in New South Wales Australia now,
tells me this fly is dinger down there. Austrialian streams are
loaded with crayfish, and this fly does well down there.
Here too.
I cut the foam out of soft, cheap, open-cell polyurethane foam.
The legs and pinchers are from a separate piece of foam. The rest
gets made on a needle, similar to the way I make the Marshmallow
Nymph or the Marshmallow Nymph. I'll try to get a finished tying sequence
(and instrutions) written sometime later this winter.
