Tie off the hackle tip. Trim off the hackle tip.
Whip finish with 2-3 wraps over the tubing, at
the front of the fly. Turn the fly over and put
a drop of thicker CA glue (ZapAGap, for instance)
over the thread wraps at the center of the parachute
hackle. Wait a few minutes for the glue to harden.
Pull the TEFLON tubing out of the fly. After pulling
out the tubing, a hard, tube-like hollow channel is
left below the fly, formed by the plastic-soaked thread wraps.
