| The next step, after gluing the thread channel

| formed around the TEFLON tubing, is to remove
|
| the tubing. Then a small visually insignificant
|
| glue and tread-wrap channel is left on the underside
|
| of the fly. The tippet threads through that channel
|
| and then attaches to the hook. Why do this?
