I made this #20 BmpBwo just to prove it was possible.
Bottom mounted parachutes aren't well suited to
itty bitties however. Size 16 is the smallest
reasonable size to make this way.
For size 16 and larger the bottom mounted parachute
is remarkably easy. Winding the hackle as a last
step, after the thread has already been snipped off,
leaves little left to go wrong.
But you do begin to run out of room underneath
the shank at size 18 and smaller.
