Low Resolution (click)   Sun Mar 25 08:58:57 MDT 2007 I had something else going on and couldn't stay for all of Tom's tying demo yesterday, at Bozeman's Troutfitters Shop. I won't miss it next year. Tom is a top knotch tier. Tom openned his talk with a few words about the importance of tying good-looking flies, where good-looking often includes adding a few extraneous finishing features the fish may not even care about. Making good looking flies is more fun for the fly tier, for one thing, and having fun and taking pride in what you do is what this business is all about, he seemed to be saying. I liked that outlook a lot.
