Hey Fran:
They put "Gluvit" on the bottom of aluminum boats.
It's a thick, pasty epoxy mixture that adheres
well to aluminum. I think you have to prepare the aluminum
first with a weak acid bath. That's just a guess.
I'll also guess all that sort of information comes
with a quart or two of Gluvit.
Without gluvit on the bottom, aluminum boats are
like stream cleats: they're the strongest of all boats,
but (without Gluvit) they cling to shallow rocks
like a Marvel Comics super hero.
