I asked the very same question a few months back. Those angles, as I understand it, are from plans to a boat in which there are ribs. If your boat has ribs, they obviously need to fit perfectly to the bottom and side of the boat. However, if you are following Sandy's plans, your stations are temporary and an exactly perfect fit is not necessary.
I built my stations and then just ran them over the router to round off the edge. It worked fine, and took a whole lot less time than cutting all of those angles would have. I would strongly suggest you go with the router.
The shell of my boat is done and now I am just waiting for the hardwood supplier to get some long lengths of gunwale material in. It has been a great project. Hope this answers your question.
