Male in this case--yellower body with orange eyes. Slightly smaller. The females are a bit bigger and more olive.
Wrapped yellow Ice Dub on a horizontal #12 beading needle. Soaked it with Aleene's Flexible Stretchable fabric cement. I did this by spinning the needle at high speed with a Nor vise. You could do it by hand with a stationary needle but it would take a little longer.
Tied on the tail fibers end to end. Tied on an upright Laser Dub wing. Slid it off the needle. Mounted it on a #20 scud hook. Loosely basted on a tuft of olive Zelon below the wing, on the underside of the thorax area. Glued the Right Hackle in place.
Lands upright floats well dries off quickly.
