Two things come to mind with that question, the only problem I have working on my boat while on the trailer is getting in and out of it.. read ...old knees :-) yet having it up off the ground sure is a lot easier on my back !

All you need is one layer inside and outside on the side panels with just enough resin to bury the weave and get a smooth finish after wet sanding.

Just to add my 2c. I am in the planing and gathering stage of my next boat and part of the plan
is of coarse material choice. So far I have not seen or heard anything good about Roseburg marine fir plywood and its only about twenty bucks less than good old hydrotech...why risk it.
I have to drive a hundred miles one way to get either one or pay to ship it as well !

Nice looking fly Sandy, I learned about the bright colors many years ago and I am a firm believer in using blues , purple and chartreuse but lets not forget about black as a bright color though some disagree it is in fact bright in the right conditions.
Here are some Steelhead jigs I tie that are a mix of blue purple and just a hint of black and just because a few stands of red flash.

Yep I'm having the same issue where the epoxy penetrated deeper in some areas but continued sanding will burn through the top layer of ply and I don't want to do that...sacrifice... so it looks like a paint job for me on the outside of the hull and oil on everything else.
The next boat will get stain and oil from the start though I like the water proof protection I get from the epoxy

I am in the refinish process again after only two years with the epoxy/varnish finish, did not hold up at all !
This time around it will be just oil lots and lots of oil ! Nice looking boat you have there and solid as a rock no doubt.
I don't know why but I like the square enders !
