Nearing completion of an open floor take on the 17' Beavertail. Many thanks to Sandy and others here for their insight and to "Geno" for working through the side panel math. 6mm okoume on the side panels, 1" plascore bottom, rear floor with fish box, front dry storage, ash oar lock blocks (sandy I know you don't love this design), movable pedestal seating (not pictured), hydroturf floors (yet to be cut and glued), fir gunwales...

Work to be done includes glassing the gunwales, drilling a drain, rails to strap rowers seat, foot brace, paint, varnish, finishing seats.

This boat will spend its time fishing in the pnw. It was supposed to be ready for tributary coho, but they're in there and we're not on the water yet. Soon.

Very cool. No such thing as too many pics by the way. I'm on the road. Fishing in Oregon.

PNW = Pacific Northwest

Looks great Steve. Love the winter river shots. Interesting Depth finder rig. Is that a DIY rig?

Thanks guys.

The fishfinder clamp is the brocraft portable mount available on amazon. It gets the job done alright, but I might try to do something different next time. Maybe one of the magnetic solutions.
