Second one is duck flank abdomen, duck flank wing, snow shoe rabbit hackle, all of which are genetically engineered as naturally water repellant materials.

The ratio of fly size to hook size means far less metal with these patterns. They're really more like #16 standard dry flies, but tied on short shank #20 hooks instead of larger, longer shanked #16 hooks. So there is far less metal. Their light weight and naturally water repellant materials (particularly the second fly, made with duck flank and snow shoe rabbit's foot fibers) means they really are champion floaters. Land upright too.
