Pheasant Tale

Two materials. Pheasant tail and Snow Shoe Rabbit's foot, although the pheasant tail does come as two separate clumps.

Tie on the tails but don't clip the butt ends. Wet the shank with fabric cement. Wind the tail butts forward almost to the eye.

Tie on a fatter clump of pheasant tail fibers facing forward past they eye. Put a small dab of fabric cement on top of the shank right behind the eye.

Place a bow tie clump of Snow Shoe Rabbit's foot fibers down onto the fabric cement behind the eye. Pull the forward facing pheasant tail fibers back over the snow shoe rabbit legs. Whip finish at mid shank. Trim the legs. Splay them out as you wish. Set it aside for 20 minutes.

Simple and fast. You can make it a beadbelly too, where the wing case rolls back over top the legs, overtop the bead.
